ANGOLA, Ind. – The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League has announced Karl Both as its Offensive Player of the Week. Both led Trine to a 2-1 record this weekend including a win over then-#17 Thiel. Both drilled 34 kills and notched seven blocks on the weekend.
 
In Trine's first game Both punched 11 kills in a three set sweep over Nazareth, a team the Thunder had lost to just two weeks prior. He hit .474 in the match and notched three blocks. He tallied 15 kills and four blocks in Trine's five set loss to Endicott. He finished off the weekend with his finest offensive performance. He added eight kills on just 10 attempts to one error for a .700 hitting percentage. He scored the final point in each of the first two sets, once by kill and once by ace.
 
Trine opens MCVL play on Friday night at Wittenberg University at 7 p.m.
