Gladieux Earns Ninth Career All-American Award

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Senior hurdler Jake Gladieux became a nine-time All-American on Saturday when he competed in the 110-meter hurdles at the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships. He becomes the most decorated student-athlete to compete at Trine University in any sport with his many accolades at the national level in his career.

After a weather delay that lasted over three hours, Gladieux competed in the 110-meter hurdle finals as the second event on track following heavy rainfall. He would secure a time of 14.22 seconds to place sixth in the event and claim All-American honors. His preliminary time of 14.05 seconds will stand as his personal best and a school record.

Gladieux also qualified for the 400-meter hurdle finals later in the night but had to withdraw due to injury. In total, Gladieux will graduate having held All-American status three times in each of the 60-meter hurdles, 110-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles between the indoor and outdoor seasons and won two NCAA Division III National Championships. He leaves Trine with four school records to his name as well.
