NEW ORLEANS – The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association has announced their 2026 All-Region performers for the indoor track and field season. The Trine University men's track and field team had four athletes earn six All-Great Lakes Region honors.
Braden Estep and
Max Van Huis each scored two selections to lead the Thunder.
The top eight individuals and relays in each of the 10 regions earned all-region awards. The rankings are determined by the TFRRS descending order list and are compiled from the entirety of the indoor season. Trine is a part of the Great Lakes Region.
Estep earned his second and third All-Region honors with top eight performances in the 60- and 200-meter dash. His times of 6.82 seconds and 21.83 seconds ranked second in the region. He finished 20
th nationally and qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 200-meters. Estep's other honor came during the 2025 outdoor season in the 4x100-meter relay.
Van Huis earns his fourth and fifth All-Great Lakes Region honors with performances in the 3000- and 5000- meter runs. Van Huis clocked 8:30.03 and 14:59.84 in the events and ranked third and seventh, respectively. Van Huis also owns an All-Region honor in cross country.
Drew Sillaway and
Blake Overmyer each earned their first All-Region honors. Sillaway was second in the region in the 3000-meter run and Overmyer was fourth in the 5000. Sillaway's time of 8:28.23 is the second best in program history. Overmyer ranks sixth in program history.
