MARION, Ind. – The Trine University track and field team competed at the Indiana Wesleyan University Polar Bear Classic. The Trine throws squad represented the Thunder at the meet.
Colten Zableckis was third in the hammer throw to lead the men and
Olivia Foster led the way for the women with a fifth-place finish in the javelin throw.
Foster's fifth place effort measured 33.32 meters/109' 4" the sixth best in program history.
Macy Bonifield and
Haleigh Loso were sixth and seventh in the hammer throw with tosses of 37.39m/122' 8" and 36.27m/119'.
Zableckis' heave covered 45.32m/148' 8",
Myles Jackson was fourth with a 44.62m/146' 5" effort.
Trace Stookey competed in the invite section of the hammer throw and was eighth with a mark of 47.38m/155' 5". He placed ninth in the discus throw with a mark of 41.55m/136' 4".
Trine heads to Cedarville University and Washington University in St. Louis next week as the rest of the squad will have their outdoor opener.
