MARIAN, Ind. – On Friday, the Trine University men's track and field team competed in the Little State Championships at Indiana Wesleyan University.

After day one of two, the Thunder are sixth out of 13 teams.

In the triple jump, Noah McClellan [Schererville, Ind. / Lake Central] was fifth at 13.04 meters (42' 9.25") while Eirik Eggen [Brownsburg, Ind. / Brownsburg] was just behind in eighth with a score of 11.87 meters (38' 11.25"). McClellan was a third-place finisher in the javelin as well at 54.35 meters (178' 3.75").

Trine also saw their 4x800 meter relay team score an eighth-place finish with a time of 8:03.81.

Saturday, April 23 will see the conclusion of the event.
