Women's Tennis Dismantles Bulldogs

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Trine University women's tennis team traveled to face Adrian College and returned home with a 9-0 victory.

The team started with three lopsided victories during the doubles portion of the event. Juniors Ashley Spirrison () and Ellie Cole () took the No. 1 match, 8-1. In the No. 2 match, freshman Jadyn Davis () and junior Camille Lozier () came away with an 8-3 win. Seniors Trista Savage () and Andrea Jordan () came away with an 8-2 victory.

Five members of the Thunder finished the day undefeated. Spirrison in the No. 1 match and Savage in the No. 5 match both came away with 6-0, 6-0 victories. Davis took the No. 2 match with scores of 6-3, 6-2, while Cole came up with a 6-2, 6-4 win in the No. 4 match. Lozier came made herself the final 2-0 player for the team with a 6-3, 6-0 win in the No. 6 match.

Sophomore Eva Morales () came up with the final win for Trine with a 6-3, 6-2 victory in the No. 3 match.

The team improves to 11-2 overall and 2-1 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) play following the victory. They will next take the courts when they host Saint Mary's College on Saturday, April 10 for a 1 p.m. match.
