GRANGER, Ind. -- The Trine University women's tennis team defeated their hosts from Bethel (Ind.) University. The match was played under NAIA scoring rules with a final score of 5-2.

The Thunder took the doubles portion with two match wins to earn the single point awarded. Juniors Ashley Spirrison (Fishers, Ind. / Hamilton Southeastern) and Ellie Cole (Albion, Ind. / Central Noble) came up with a win in the No. 1 match by the score of 6-2. Freshman Jadyn Davis (Angola, Ind. / Angola) and junior Camille Lozier (Elkhart, Ind. / Concord) had the other win in the No. 3 match by the score of 6-3.

Spirrison went on to go undefeated in the match with a 6-1, 7-6(7-0) win in the No. 1 singles match. Davis joined her with a 6-1, 7-5 win in the No. 2 match. Senior Trista Savate (Bryan, Ohio / Bryan) came up with a 6-3, 6-3 win in the No. 5 match and Lozier gave the Thunder their fifth point in the No. 6 match with a 6-1, 6-1 win.

The dual match win marks the end of the fall portion of the season for Trine. They end with a 7-0 record.
