MISHAWAKA, IND.-- The Trine women's tennis team was defeated by Bethel (Ind.) 6-3 in a non-conference match Saturday afternoon on the Bethel campus courts.

Singles victories by Lauren Schlueter (Akron, Ohio/Revere), Lexi Mack (Temperance, Mich./Bedford) and Marissa German (Plymouth, Ind./Plymouth) highlighted the Thunder efforts in the match. All three won their matches in straight sets. Schlueter's victory pulls her record back over the .500 mark at 7-6.

Trine falls to 5-8 overall. Bethel improved to 10-7 with the victory. The Pilots were paced to the victory by their hot start in doubles with three wins.

Trine returns to action Monday, Apr. 7 when they host Olivet at 4:00 p.m.
