ALBION, MICH.-- The Trine women's tennis team was defeated by Albion, 8-1, in MIAA-action Tuesday afternoon at Ungrodt Tennis Center.

Marissa German (Plymouth, Ind./Plymouth)  picked up the lone Trine victory of the day at no. 5 singles. The freshman picked up a pair of 6-2 victories. German has shown steady improvement over the course of the season, picking up wins in four of her last five matches. She is 3-2 in conference matches. Trine falls to 7-11 overall and 3-4 in the MIAA.

Albion improved to 12-1 overall and 6-0 in the MIAA with the victory. The Britons have won seven-straight matches.

Trine will compete against Grace College in a non-conference match Thursday, Apr. 24. First serve is set for 4:00 p.m.
