Women's Lacrosse Earns Three All-MIAA Selections

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has announced their 2026 All-MIAA Women's Lacrosse teams and specialty awards. Erin Fariello claimed the Trine University women's lacrosse team's second consecutive MIAA Freshman of the Year award.
 
Fariello followed in Izabelle Dominski's footsteps from a season ago to be named the MIAA Rookie of the Year. Dominski added a second team All-MIAA nod to her career accolades. Claire Schmaltz was Trine's third All-MIAA selection, earning second team status for the first time in her career.
 
Fariello tallied 44 points for the Thunder on 38 goals and six assists. She handled draw control duties for Trine as well. The freshman won 55 draw controls and was seventh in the MIAA with 4.14 draw controls per game. Fariello also grabbed 2.71 ground balls per game, ranking 10th in the league.
 
Dominski earns second team status for the second season in a row. She continued her impressive offensive dominance in her sophomore campaign with 42 goals and 12 assists. Dominski now ranks ninth in program history with an even 100 career points. Dominski was sixth in the conference with 3.29 goals per game and 12th with 3.86 points per game. Dominski posted an impressive .805 shot on goal percentage.
 
Schmaltz led the Thunder defense and earned her first career All-MIAA selection. Schmaltz grabbed 27 ground balls on the season and caused 12 turnovers. Schmaltz was a consistent force the Thunder defense all season.
 
The Thunder finished their season in the quarterfinals of the MIAA Tournament with an 8-8 record.
