ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University men's hockey team moved up in both polls, coming in at 14th according to USCHO.com and returning to the DIII Hockey News poll at 15th.

The Thunder returned to the USCHO.com poll last week and moved up one more spot with 12 more points than last week's 22. They currently sit behind Bowdoin College and SUNY Geneseo who are tied for 12th and just ahead of the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Three other members of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) are recognized by the poll. Aurora University headlines the group sitting firmly in second place. St. Norbert College is fifth and Adrian College is sixth.

The DIII Hockey News rankings put Trine in 15th, ending a two-edition absence by the team. They earned 16 votes in the poll, sitting behind Stout who currently has 49 points in 14th. The same three members of the NCHA join the Thunder, all holding the same spots in both polls.

The Thunder improved to 10-5-2 overall and 5-2-2 in NCHA play by sweeping Lawrence University last weekend. They will travel to face Lake Forest College next weekend in another NCHA back-to-back. Game one is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT on Friday, January 23.
