FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) has announced its Athlete of the Week honors with Emma Beehler representing the Trine University women's tennis team.
This is the second time this season that a member of the team has taken home the award. It is the first time the sophomore has been recognized by the MIAA.
The Fisher, Ind. native was a perfect 2-0 for the week including a win in both doubles and singles matches against Anderson (Ind.) University. She opened dual with Addison Lockwood with a 6-1 victory in the #3 doubles match. It was a crucial win, with the Thunder securing a 2-1 record for the first team point in the match.
She followed up with a just as convincing victory in the No. 2 singles match. She won there 6-1, 6-2 as the Thunder went on to a 6-1 victory.
The match represented the conclusion of the fall portion of the schedule for Trine. They will next compete on their spring break trip in early March of 2026.
