LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) has recognized the Trine University men's lacrosse team and graduate student Collin Custer for their achievements in the classroom and on the field. Custer earns the title of Scholar All-American while the Thunder earned the Team Academic Award.

This is the second straight season that the program has produced a Scholar All-American, with Nick DiPaolo securing the award in 2024. It is the fourth time overall with Dave Keptner being recognized in 2022 and Nick Maher in 2018. Recipients are seniors who have been nominated by their coaches and who have achieved a 3.0 or better GPA. They must also have been a credit to himself, his institution and to college lacrosse both on and off the field.

Custer, a native of Spanaway, Wash., paced the Thunder offense throughout the season. The midfielder finished the conference portion of the season as one of the best scoreres in the MIAA, finishing tied for third in goals per game (2.83) and total goals (17). For the season he led the Thunder with 53 points and 43 goals while also finishing fourth with ten assists.

The Team Academic Award is handed out to teams that achieve a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the season's academic year.
