FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Preferred Auto Group has named Sidney Wagner their March 2025 Athlete of the Month. In March, Wagner led Trine to their 8^th consecutive NCAA Tournament Appearance and was named MIAA MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, and First Team All-MIAA. She earned D3hoops.com First Team All-Region VII and Third Team All-American awards and was named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Honorable Mention All-America Team and WBCA All Star Game.
 
Wagner posted a monster 27-point 15-rebound double-double in Trine's thrilling first round 81-74 overtime win over Transylvania. She concludes her career as the Trine Division III-era leader in games played, rebounds and assists, second in points, second in field goals made, second in steals, third in minutes, fourth in three point field goals made, fourth in free throws made, fifth in scoring average, eighth in three point percentage, eighth in field goal percentage. Sidney is the third player in program history to earn All-America status. She joins Brandi Dawson and Tara Bieniewicz, as all three women earned multiple All-America honors.
 
Wagner led the Thunder with 16.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 2.7 steals per game this season. Sidney concludes her career as the Trine Division III-era leader in games played, rebounds and assists, second in points, second in field goals made, second in steals, third in minutes, fourth in three point field goals made, fourth in free throws made, fifth in scoring average, eighth in three point percentage, eighth in field goal percentage.
