ATLANTA – The Women's Basketball Coaches Association has announced their 2024-25 Academic Top 25. The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women's basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2024-25 season is the 30th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
 
The Trine University women's basketball team finished the year with the 18^th best team GPA in NCAA Division III. The Thunder posted a team GPA of 3.737 while earning their eighth consecutive berth to the NCAA Tournament and claiming the MIAA Regular Season Championship in undefeated fashion. The Thunder posted the sixth best team GPA among teams that qualified for the NCAA Tournament. This is the third time the Thunder have finished in the top 25. They were 8^th in 2021-22 and 11^th in 2022-23.
