ALLENDALE, Mich. – For the second week in a row,
Olivia Andrews established a new program record in the pole vault. Andrews vaulted 3.26 meters/10' 8.25" at the Ohio Wesleyan Open, besting her performance by 1 centimeter. The rest of the Trine University women's track and field team competed at the GVSU Big Meet on Saturday.
Andrews mark in the pole vault is the highest by a Trine pole vaulter indoors or outdoors, all time.
Mackenzie Miller dashed 60 meters in 7.89 seconds for a ninth place finish.
Courtney Study took 11
th in the mile with a career-best performance of 5:08.84.
Emmaline Leatherman took sixth in the triple jump with a hop, skip, and jump of 10.49 meters/ 34' 5".
Emma Forker was ninth in the long jump with a 5.20 meter/17' .75" jump.
Trine heads to the Hillsdale Tune Up on Friday for one last meet before the MIAA Championships.
