FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has announced its latest MIAA Track and Field Athletes of the Week. Bailey Puckett claimed her fourth career MIAA Runner of the Week honor.
 
Puckett stormed to a new program record in the 1500-meter run at the Indiana DIII Championships, toppling nine-time All-American Evie Miller's (Bultemeyer) mark of 4:27.69 by nearly two seconds. Her time of 4:25.77 ranks second in MIAA history and fourth in NCAA Division III this season. She doubled back in the 800-meter run for another personal best of 2:15.59 that ranks second in the MIAA this season and second in Trine history. Finally, she ran the third leg of Trine's 4x400-meter relay that posted the fifth fastest time in program history. The time of 4:06.28 ranks third in the MIAA.
 
The Thunder will split squads next weekend competing at Hillsdale College, Indiana Wesleyan University, and Otterbein University.
