ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University women's hockey team has announced their slate of games for the 2025-26 season.
During the 2024-25 campaign the Thunder compiled an 8-17-2 overall record while going 5-11-2 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) play. They finished seventh in the conference standings and played in the opening round of the NCHA Slaats Cup Playoffs fifth-straight season.
This year the team opens with a home exhibition against Adrian College on Saturday, October 25 at 7 p.m. They then hop directly into NCHA play with a home doubleheader against Concordia University Wisconsin beginning on Friday, November 7.
After a quick road trip to the University of Dubuque for a pair beginning on Friday, November 14, the team returns home for two straight weekends. The first series comes against the Milwaukee School of Engineering which will serve as the Thunder's Teddy Bear Toss Weekend. Donations will be collected during both games, beginning with Friday, November 21's contest, before the actual toss occurs on Saturday, November 22.
The Thunder then face Stevenson University in a non-conference series beginning on Saturday, November 29 at 2 p.m. with game two scheduled for 11 a.m. on Sunday, November 30.
Trine ends the 2025 portion of the season with three road contests. The first two coming against St. Norbert College beginning on Friday, December 5 and the third a New Year's Eve tilt against Adrian College.
The team opens 2026 with four straight home series. The first two are non-conference clashes against Lebanon Valley College and Chatham University. The second two are a return to NCHA play first against Lawrence University beginning on Friday, January 16 and then with Alumni and Senior weekend against Lake Forest College. Friday, January 23 will serve as the Alumni Night and Saturday, January 24 set aside to honor the seniors.
The Thunder hit the road to end January with games against Aurora University. They open February by heading off to Marian (Wis.) University. The regular season concludes with a home-and-home series against Adrian. Trine will host on Friday, February 13 before spending Valentine's Day in Michigan.
