FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) has named Jack Besner their Men's Golf Athlete of the Week. This is Besner's third career Golfer of the Week award and his first this season.
 
The sophomore claimed medalist honors at MIAA Jamboree #4 with a round of 71 (-1). He was the lone golfer to shoot below par. He led the Thunder to a second place finish and the team holds a two stroke advantage at the conclusion of the fall portion of the MIAA season.
 
The Thunder are competing in the Region V Showcase this afternoon and tomorrow at Catawaba CC in their final event of the fall season.
