FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named
Garrett James its Men's Golfer of the Week. James earned medalist honors at the Lewis Flyers Fall Intercollegiate Classic in a dramatic two-hole, three-man playoff.
James fired a 54-hole round of 221 strokes, tied for third best in program history and finished tied atop the leader board, forcing a playoff. Things were all-square after the first hole, but James made a clutch putt to seal the victory on the second hole and take the win. The win came on the daunting Cog Hill #4 – Dubsdread which has hosted numerous PGA events, the course record is owned by none other than Tiger Woods.
The Thunder are competing in the final of four fall MIAA Jamborees this afternoon at Watermark CC.
