FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Trine University Women's Cross Country team placed second at the Sodexo Grizzly XC Invitational this afternoon. Junior Bailey Puckett led the Thunder across the line in 9^th place with a time of 23:10.91. The meet was hosted by Franklin College at the Blue River Park.
 
Junior Sidney Swick finished just behind Puckett in 11^th place in 23:12.69, senior Chloe Goodrich was 15^th with a time of 23:23.67, rounding out the top 5 finishers for Trine were junior Eleanor Young in 22^nd and Senior Hannah Parker in 23^rd, they finished with times of 23:48.46 and 23:50.41, respectively.
 
The Thunder finished second as a squad, finishing behind the top ranked team in the Great Lakes Region, DePauw and ahead of Ohio Northern and Centre, both were ranked ahead of the Thunder in the regional rankings. Trine also downed conference foes Kalamazoo and Albion.
 
The Thunder return to the course next week in East Lansing, Mich. for the Auto Owners Spartan Invitational, hosted by Michigan State.
