KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Members of the Trine University women's tennis team competed at the 2024 ITA Central Regional Championships hosted by Kalamazoo College.

Elina Locane was the lone member of the delegation to earn a win during the main draw of the competition. She won her opening singles match against Ella Frantz of Anderson (Ind.) University 7-6(7-3), 6-1. She fell in her second match to a highly ranked opponent from Washington (Mo.) University.

Emma Beehler dropped her match in the main draw to fall into the consolation bracket. There she won a match against Sophia Pischalko of Saint Mary's College with scores of 3-6, 6-3, 10-5. She bowed out of the event with a tight loss to Madelyn Santer of Hanover College 5-7, 5-7.

Locane was joined by doubles partner Alexis Maloney for the doubles tournament. They were unable to win a match.

The regional competition completes the fall portion of the season for the Thunder. They will next take the courts when they travel to Orlando, Fla. for their spring break trip in March of 2025.
