FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Senior Hannah Parker led the Trine Women's cross country team to a second place finish at the Mastodon XC Alumni Open, hosted by Purdue Fort Wayne.
 
Parker led five Thunder runners who finished within twenty seconds of each other, this tight grouping proved important as Trine was able to defeat NAIA St. Francis (Ind.) by just two points. Parker placed 10^th while Sidney Swick, Bailey Puckett, and Chloe Goodrich finished 12^th, 13^th, and 14^th and Courtney Study was 16^th. Parker's time of 23:59.7 was the top time for a Thunder runner.
 
Hosts Purdue Fort Wayne claimed the team title, taking 5 of the top 6 finishes.
 
The Cross Country squad will take next weekend off before heading to Terre Haute for the DIII Pre-Nationals meet on October 4^th hosted by Rose-Hulman.
