ANGOLA, Ind. –
Mackenna Kelly has been announced as the new Head Women's Golf Coach for Trine University as the team enters the 2024-25 season.
"We are very excited as a department to elevate Mackenna Kelly into the role of head coach," Trine University Assistant Vice President for Athletics
Matt Land said. "I believe she will continue to develop the women's golf program and shape it into her own moving forward."
Kelly had previously served as the Trine men's and women's golf assistant under former head coach Noah Warren, who recently moved into an administrative role within the Trine athletics department as an Assistant Athletic Director for Operations. Her role within the program included developing coaching strategies, provide guidance and support to student-athletes during practice and competition, and maintaining accurate records of player statistics to evaluate performance. Kelly was a student-athlete at Trine from 2018-20.
"I am very excited to be the head coach of Trine women's golf," Coach Kelly mentioned. "I was blessed to accept the assistant job last year under Coach Warren and it was tremendous to be mentored by an amazing coach. I look forward to continuing to grow this program with the help of a great athletic department and would like to thank Coach Land for giving me this opportunity."
