BRIGHTON, Mich. – For the second time this fall,
Rylee Smith has been named the MIAA Golfer of the Week. Smith claimed medalist honors at MIAA Jamboree #4 last Monday to help the Thunder gain a 15-stroke advantage on the conference.
Smith's round of 73 (+1) marked the third consecutive MIAA event she took home the top spot. The junior's dominance is reflected in the MIAA's individual standings where she too owns a 15 stoke lead over the field. Her round at Warren Golf Course included 13 pars and a pair of birdies.
Trine erased a six-shot deficit to Adrian College over the round and now lead the Bulldogs by 15 shots heading into the spring season. The Thunder will look to wrap up the MIAA title on April 26-27 at Gull Lake View Golf Course at the MIAA Spring Finale.
