EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Trine University women's track and field team was once again in split squad action with several student-athletes taking part in the Spartan Invite at Michigan State University.

The highest finish was accumulated by the 4x400-meter relay team. Brianna Medcalf, Emily Wahl, Bailey Puckett and Eleanor Young finished with a time of 4:23.75 to place sixth overall. Puckett also led the women in the 1500-meter run with a personal best time of 4:50.26 to score a 22nd-place finish in the seeded race.

A top-ten finish was credited to Abby Sanner in the discus at 36.37 meters (119' 4.00"). She was tenth and Sidney Swick was one spot behind in 11th in the 5000-meter run at 18:35.83. The final event for the Thunder was the 800-meter run where Halle Overmire was 29th in the seeded race at 2:25.30, a season best time.  

On Saturday, April 6, the remainder of the team competes at Manchester University for the Manchester Invitational.
