GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Max Van Huis placed third and earned first team All-MIAA honors this afternoon at the MIAA XC Championships. Ryan Hoopingarner, Gehrig Longe, and Blake Overmyer earned second team honors. Trine placed third as a team behind hosts Calvin who claimed the team title by one point over Hope.
 
Van Huis crossed the finish line third in a new personal best time of 24:40.7 for the 8k course.
 
Hoopingarner placed ninth to earn second team honors with a time of 25:00.3. Longe and Overmyer eached set new personal bests with times of 25:31.4 and 25:31.8, respectively. The pair placed 15^th and 16^th overall. Robert Lohman was the Thunder's fifth finisher, placing 22^nd, his time of 25:51.6 set a new personal best.
 
Trine will return to action in two weeks when they travel to Franklin College for the NCAA DIII Great Lakes Regional on November 16^th at 11:00 a.m.
