ALMA, Mich.—The Trine men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association game to Alma on Saturday afternoon.

The Fighting Scots' Kyle Kansman scored off a header after a throw in. Austin Gabris assisted on the goal at 10:43 in the first half. Hebren Hein scored 14 minutes later to put Alma up by two.

Trine's Bill Wilson (Mason, Mich./Mason) brought the Thunder within one after he buried a deflection from Kyle Wainscott (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North).

Alma's Kansman scored his second goal of the game at 61:42.

The Thunder's William Macedo (Elkhart, Ind./Elkhart Memorial) made four saves in the loss. Alma's Nick Strait made two saves in the win.

Wilson led Trine's offense with five shots, while Wainscott had three.

Alma outshot Trine 22-15. The two teams each had 10 fouls.

The Thunder returns home to play host to Calvin on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. game.
