Women's Golf Claims Second Win of the Fall at Kyle Campbell Invitational

MARSHALL, Mich – The Trine University women's golf team tied a pair of school records on Saturday afternoon at the Medalist Golf Course on their way to the team title at the Kyle Campbell Memorial Invitational. Rylee Smith carded 151 strokes in the 36 hole tournament and placed second as an individual.
 
Rachel Fay of Adrian claimed individual medalist honors. Trine topped the field that included six other MIAA opponents.
 
Smith shot a 76 and 75 for her two day total of 151 strokes. Freshman Paige Fischer shot a 36 hole total of 157 strokes with 74 coming on day two. Brooke Anderson took 14th overall with 161 strokes. Cassidy Hawken rounded out the Thunder's top four scored with a 161 of her own. Mia Loggins was Trine's fifth individual, her score of 80 on Friday served as one of Trine's four counting scores. She finished 18th with 162 strokes.
 
Trine is off until September 14th when they begin MIAA play at Albion in Jamboree #1.
