BRIGHTON, Mich. - The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Rylee Smith its Women's Golfer of the Week. This is Smith's sixth career Athlete of the Week award.

The junior from Zeeland, Mich. carded a round of 71 (-1) at MIAA Jamboree #2 on September 22 to earn medalist honors and lead the Thunder to a third place finish. Smith, the reigning MIAA Most Valuable Golfer, now six medalist honors at MIAA events. She is currently the individual leader in the conference by three shots. The Thunder rank fourth as a team but trail leaders Albion, by just three strokes. 

Trine is competing in the Battle at Blackthorn both today and tomorrow in a 36-hole event. The next MIAA Jamboree is scheduled for October 6 at Zollner Golf Course.
