Rylee Smith Named to WGCA All-Region IV Team

PALM DESERT, Calif. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association has announced their 2026 All-Region teams. For the first time in program history, the Trine University women's golf team has had a player named to the team. Rylee Smith earns the program's first honor as part of the All-Region IV team.
 
Smith established new program records for 18- and 36-hole scoring average. Her 75.50 and 152.00 stroke averages surpassed her season records from a year ago. Smith also owns the program's career scoring records with a career averages of 76.18 and 152.55 for 18 and 36 holes. Smith finished the season as the 68th ranked golfer in Division III, and the seventh highest ranked golfer in Region IV.
 
Smith claimed four tournament wins this season, including medalist honors at MIAA Jamboree #3 with a school record round of 70, and eight top three finishes. Smith became the first Thunder golfer to earn MIAA Most Valuable Golfer. Smith later lowered her school record round to 69, becoming the first Thunder golfer to break 70 on day one of the MIAA Spring Finale.
