ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University acrobatics and tumbling team is set to travel to the 2026 NCATA Division III Tournament hosted by East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. They will serve as the three-seed in the event.
The Thunder will open competition on Thursday, April 9 when they take on their hosts from ETBU, who are seeded fourth. That meet is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. CT. The two teams met earlier this season in a tri-meet hosted by Trine. The Thunder finished ahead of the Tigers at that contest by the score of 217.405 to 199.475.
Both team's have since posted higher scores, with the Thunder turning in a 219.43 in their penultimate regular season contest and ETBU coming up with a 219.535 in their final meet of the season.
The winner of the meet will face second-seeded Concordia University Wisconsin on Friday, April 10 at 4 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. CT. The loser will face the loser of Thursday's other match, top-seeded University of Mary Hardin Baylor versus fifth-seeded Buffalo State University, at 7 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. CT.
Event finals will be contested at 12 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, April 11 with the championship meet scheduled for 7 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. CT.
