Women's Golf Ninth at Illinois Wesleyan

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Trine University womens' golf team finished ninth at the Illinois Wesleyan Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling on Sunday. Natalie Kulka led the Thunder with a seventh-place finish, carding a 36 hole total of 151 strokes.
 
Trine tallied 650 strokes as a team, tied for the seventh best round of 36 holes in program history. #7 WashU claimed the team title with 607 strokes, #30 Wisconsin-Stout was second and the host Titans rounded out the top three teams.
 
Kulka was excellent on day one at Ironwood Golf Course, shooting an even par 72 with three birdies. Two came on the front nine to help her break par on the front half. The third came on her final hole of the day. She made 12 pars on the day as well. Today's round of 77 included a birdie on hole eleven.
 
Rylee Smith placed 20th overall with a two day score of 157. She birdied her first hole of the tournament and added 22 pars over the two days.
 
Kayleigh Agugliaro placed 85th for Trine with a two day total of 173 strokes.
 
Brooke Anderson carded Trine's fourth score of day one with an 82, she made birdie on eighteen. Anderson finished 97th with a score of 178.
 
Grace Thiele scored Trine's fourth round this afternoon with an 87. She placed 85th overall with a 175.
 
Cassidy Hawken placed 71st as an individual with a two day total of 171.
 
Trine hosts the Trine University Spring Classic on Friday and Saturday at Zollner Golf Course and Glendarin Hills Golf Club.
