WAVERLY, Iowa. – The Trine University track and field competed at the Wartburg Final Qualifier this afternoon. Braden Estep led the way with a second place finish in the 200-meter dash.
 
Estep covered the lap of the track in 21.83 seconds, lowering his #2 all-time performance. He ranks 21^st nationally. He placed seventh in the 60-meter dash with a 6.95 second performance.
 
Brooklyn Kerry tied her school record in the triple jump with a leap of 11.47 meters/37' 7.75" in a second-place finish.
 
 Eleanor Young was 11^th in the mile run with a time of 5:04.59 and Halle Overmire was 21^st in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:21.54.
 
Bailey Puckett will compete in the mile run at next week's NCAA Championships. Estep is the first man out of the championships and will await a scratch from a fellow competitor for a chance to compete. Entries will be announced on Sunday at 7 p.m.
