ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Three members of the Trine University track and field program represented the Thunder at the 33
rd Midwest Twilight Final Qualifier this week.
Olivia Andrews,
Braden Estep, and
Kyle Redd made the trip to the Quad Cities in search of qualifying marks for the NCAA Championships.
The top 22 individuals and top 16 relays will qualify for the championships. Senior All-American
Bailey Puckett is comfortably inside the top 22 in the 1500-meter run. She ranks sixth with her school record effort of 4:25.77.
Andrews tied her school record set just four days prior with a clearance of 3.78 meters/12' 4.75" in the pole vault. Andrews will finish the season 27
th nationally and owns the third highest vault in Division III by a sophomore this season.
Estep placed fourth in the 200-meter dash with a new personal best of 21.52 seconds, he now ranks second in program history. He finished 14
th in the 100-meter dash in 10.73 seconds.
Redd posted a pair of personal bests in the 200- and 400-meter dashes. Redd finished seventh in the 400 in 48.17 seconds, his time ranks third fastest in Trine history. His 200 time of 21.75 was also a personal best and improves his fifth fastest mark in program history.
Puckett will represent the Thunder on the national stage next weekend at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
