GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –
Brady Millington led the Trine University men's track and field team on Saturday with a fourth place finish in the mile run at the Grand Valley State Big Meet. Trine competed on both days of the event which did not keep team scores.
Millington moved to third in program history with a personal best time of 4:16.46 in the race.
The 4x400-meter relay team of
Rushawn James,
Braden Estep,
Mason Turske, and
Kyle Redd finished eighth in 3:21.99, the second fastest mark in school history.
Redd moved up to sixth all-time with a personal best time of 22.42 seconds in the 200-meter dash.
Drew Sillaway bettered his #2 all-time mark in the 3000-meter run, finishing in 8:28.23 and
Preston Nofziger placed fifth in the pole vault with a height of 4.37 meters/14' 4" to highlight Friday's performances.
Trine also sent a group of 5000-meter runners to Wisconsin-Whitewater on Friday.
Blake Overmyer and
Max Van Huis led the way, dipping under 15 minutes in the race. Overmyer moved to sixth all-time with his time of 14:55.19.
Trine will travel to Hillsdale College on Saturday for a final tune-up before the MIAA Championships.
