FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has announced
Madison Wagner as its MIAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Wagner posted a career high 21 points in the Thunder's win over #7 Hope on Wednesday and then led the Thunder in scoring on Saturday with 13 points against Alma.
Wagner nailed six of ten three pointers on the week and is now shooting 41.5% from beyond the arc this year. She added four steals in the win over the Dutch and six rebounds and two assists against Alma. Wagner has scored in double figures in the last four games, averaging 15.8 points and is shooting 54.2% from the floor, 63.1% from the three point line and 76.4% from the free throw line over the stretch.
