FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has announced their first and second team honorees for this year's Outdoor MIAA Championships. Individuals and relay teams that won their respective events earned first team honors while those finishing second were named to the second team.
The Trine University women's track and field team took home 11 awards including four first team selections.
Bailey Puckett earned first team honors in the 1500-meter run, taking the win in 4:34.83 and backing up her indoor mile run crown.
Sidney Swick won the 10,000 meters for her first MIAA title. She finished in 38:09.27.
Sophia Peter earned two All-MIAA selections. She won the 100-meter hurdles in 15.32 seconds and was part of the Thunder 4x100-meter relay team that earned second team honors.
Olivia Andrews took home her first All-MIAA honor with a win in the pole vault. She cleared a school record 3.50 meters/11' 5.75".
Also on the 4x100 relay were
Mackenzie Miller,
Ariana Todd, and
Emma Forker. Forker earned a second, second team honor in the long jump with a leap of 5.22 meters/17' 1.5". The relay team finished in 48.41 seconds.
Joining Puckett in the 1500-meter run was
Eleanor Young, she backed up her silver from the indoor mile run with another silver in the 1500. She set a new personal best of 4:35.18.
Taking second team All-MIAA honors in the 10,000-meter run was
Chloe Goodrich. She earned her first All-MIAA selection with a time of 38:16.43.
