NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Trine University Men's Track and Field team competed at the Manchester University Invitational on Saturday afternoon. A group of distance runners and throwers made the trip.
Tanner McMain was third in the 3000-meter steeplechase, finishing in 10:07.27.
Sam Slough took second in the 1500-meter run and
Felix Palafox was fifth. Slough finished in 4:25.96 and Palafox in 4:29.36.
Matt Edison took third in the 5000-meter run, finishing in 15:27.38.
The 4x400-meter relay of
Jack Melvin,
Philip Nemecek,
Zack Gaynor, and
Tyler Hartleroad took fourth in 3:34.93.
Trine took five of the top eight spots in the hammer throw.
Dillon Dennison was second with a throw of 50.17 meters/ 164' 7",
Hayden Patton was fourth with a heave of 45.48 meters/149' 2".
AJ Henderson took sixth,
Colton Zableckis was seventh and
Trace Stookey took eighth.
Colin Brady was third in the javelin with a toss of 43.28 meters/142'.
Colton Wampler was sixth with his throw of 40.31 meters/132' 3".
Brady took fifth in the discus with a best mark of 39.61 meters/129' 11".
Zableckis was second in the shot put with his toss of 12.71 meters/41' 8.5" and
Cody Bickley was fourth with a throw of 11.84 meters/38' 10.25".
