FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Braden Estep their Men's Track Athlete of the Week. This marks Estep's first career Track Athlete of the Week award, Estep was named Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week on October 15, 2024.
 
Estep finished first in the 100-meter dash and second in the 200-meter dash at Friday's Hillsdale GINA relays, he clocked 10.66 seconds in the 100 and 21.63 seconds in the 200, just .04 off the program record in both events. He teamed up with Max Harris, Jayjouir Roberts, and Zion Jackson to topple the program mark in the 4x100-meter relay in 41.30 seconds and take the win.
 
The Thunder will have one final tune-up before the MIAA Championships when they return to Hillsdale on Friday.
