SAGINAW, Mich. –
Braden Estep led the Trine University Men's Track and Field with a fifth place finish in the 200-meter dash at the Saginaw Valley State Holiday open on Friday. Estep improved his second best mark in program history with a time of 22.16 seconds. The meet was not team scored.
Tyler Barnes leapt 6.47 meters/21' 2.75" in the long jump in his first collegiate action. Fellow freshman
Preston Nofziger was 10
th in the pole vault, clearing 4.20 meters/13' 9.25".
Estep led the Thunder in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.06 seconds,
Mason Turske set a personal best in 7.16 seconds. The duo teamed up with
Hunter Eifert and
Cole Figg in the 4x400-meter relay to finish in 3:30.23.
In the throws,
Colton Zableckis led the Thunder in the shot put with a toss of 13.70 meters/44' 11.5" and in the weight throw with a 15.14 meter/49' 8.25".
The Thunder return to action following winter break when they host the Sean Brady Alumni Invitational on January 17
th.
