ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University men's basketball team earned 32 votes in the first D3hoops.com poll of the season. Trine gained 23 votes from the previous poll following their 4-1 start to the year.
 
The Thunder opened the season with a dramatic wins over Ohio Northern and Baldwin Wallace. They picked up dominant wins over Illinois Tech and Marietta. The Thunder's lone loss came to then-#15 Mary Washington on Friday at the Great Lakes Invitational. The Eagles are now #7 in the D3hoops.com poll and are 6-0.
 
Trine is one of two MIAA teams in the D3hoops poll. Preseason favorites Calvin are ranked #12 in the latest edition. The Thunder continue their season with a road contest against Anderson tomorrow afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
