RICHLAND, Mich. –
Rylee Smith took medalist honors with a school record round of 71 at this afternoon's Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree #3 at Gull Lake Country Club. The Thunder finished tied for second and are now second in the MIAA Standings. Smith is now the individual leader in the conference.
Smith made three birdies and fourteen pars enroute to her 71 on the 5,700-yard par 73 course. She started on hole fifteen with three consecutive pars before making back to back birdies on holes eighteen and one. The third birdie came on hole five before closing her day with eight pars in nine holes.
Natalie Kulka placed 11
th with an 80. She made birdie on hole four and notched ten pars on the day.
Grace Thiele made four birdies enroute to an 81. She played the front nine at level par, and made three of her birdies on the front half on one, two, and seven.
Kayleigh Agugliaro closed out the Thunder's scorecard with an 87, she made six pars on the day.
Trine heads to Pine River Country Club on Saturday for the fourth and final MIAA Jamboree. Tee time is set for 1 p.m.
