LOUISVILLE – Blake Overmyer led the Trine University men's cross country team to a 10^th place finish at the Swags Louisville Cross Country Classic on Saturday morning. The Thunder finished 10^th of 41 teams.
 
Overmyer placed 14^th overall in the field of 417 runners. He crossed in 25:24.9, the second fastest time of his career.
 
Nick Spielman posted a 20 second personal best for a 33^rd place finish in 25:48.7. Ryan Hoopingarner crossed third for Trine in 91^st place in a time of 26:21.9. Drew Sillaway and Tyler Hartleroad rounded out the Thunder five in times of 26:32.1 and 26:44.6 respectively.
 
The Thunder split squads this week, sending a group to the Calvin Knight Invite. The Thunder placed seventh of ten teams. Eli Shoup led the way in 48^th place.
 
Trine is off next weekend before heading to either the Augustana (Ill.) or Oberlin Interregional Rumble on October 18^th.
