CHARLOTTE, Mich. – Nick Spielman led the Trine University men's cross country team to its best MIAA Championships finish in six years with a second place team finish on Saturday afternoon at Broadway Acres Golf Course.
 
Spielman earned First Team All-MIAA honors with a fourth-place finish in 25:14.8 a new #16 all-time mark for the Thunder Cross Country program.
 
Ryan Hoopingarner earned his third consecutive All-MIAA team with a 13^th place finish for second team honors. Hoopingarner crossed in 25:37.9.
 
Tyler Hartleroad, Robert Lohman and Brady Millington each earned top 25 finished in the 147 man field. Hartleroad finished in 26:08, Lohman in 26:16, and Millington in 26:24.
 
Trine heads to the NCAA Great Lakes Region Championships in two weeks in Louisville, Ky.
