ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University women's golf team won the first team competition of the 2024-25 school year, taking their own Kick-Off Classic by nine strokes. Kayleigh Agugliaro was the individual medalist with a low score off 77 strokes, five over par. The second team for the Thunder finished third in the standings.

Agugliaro road a solid round that featured 12 pars and a birdie to the low score of the day. Grace Dubec came in a close second for the team and in the event. The senior led the team with two birdies to post the six over 78. Rylee Smith finished third on the team and in a tie for fourth overall with 82 strokes. Bailey Bravata rounded out the counting scores for the team with an 83, that put her seventh in the tournament.

The Trine B Team cam in third in the standings with a score of 340 strokes. Leading the way for the group was Brooke Anderson who finished tied for fourth overall with 82 strokes. She recorded a birdie and eight pars in the round. Natalie Kulka finished tied for seventh overall with 83 strokes. Calley Ruff and Lauren Swiggum rounded out the team score for the group with 87 and 88 strokes respectively.

The Thunder will travel to the Indiana University East Fall Invitational at the Highland Lake Golf Course in Richmond, Ind. for their next competition. The two-day tournament is scheduled to begin on Friday, August 30 with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
