BATTLE CREEK, Mich. -- The Trine University men's tennis team picked up their second Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) win of the season by defeating host Olivet College 9-0.

The Thunder team of senior Blake Trusty (Fremont, Ind. / Fremont) and Evan Trusty (Fremont, Ind. / Fremont) took the No. 1 doubles match with a score of 8-4. In the No. 2 match juniors Jordan Baker (Salem, Ind. / Salem) and Jacob Weiss (Richmond, Ind. / Richmond) came away with an 8-1 win. The team came up with No. 3 match by default.

Trine went on to sweep the day by winning all six of the singles matches. Blake Trusty took the No. 1 match with scores of 6-2, 6-4. Freshman Jaxon Davis (Angola, Ind. / Angola) came up with the No. 3 win with scores of 6-1, 6-3. Sophomore Isaac Everitt (Scottsburg, Ind. / Scottsburg) joined Evan Trusty and Weiss winning their matches with scores of 6-0, 6-0. Trine took the No. 6 match by default.

The team improves to 8-8 overall and 2-2 in MIAA play following the win. They will host Hope College on Saturday, April 13 in their next dual. The contest is set to begin at 11 a.m.
