ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Trine University men's tennis team was swept by visiting Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) opponent Hope College today.

The Thunder made it close in two of the matches during the dual. Their first near miss came from the No. 3 doubles team of sophomore Isaac Everitt (Scottsburg, Ind. / Scottsburg) and freshman Jaxon Davis (Angola, Ind. / Angola) who fell in their match just 8-5.

Junior Jordan Baker (Salem, Ind. / Salem) made his strong showing in the No. 6 singles match where he fell with scores of 5-7, 2-6.

Trine falls to 8-9 overall and 2-3 in the MIAA following the loss. They will continue their season tomorrow, April 14 when they travel to face Alma College. The dual is set to start at 1 p.m.
