ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Trine University men's tennis team traveled to face Adrian College in their first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) of the season and were defeated 7-2.

The Thunder picked up two of the doubles matches in the competition to take a 2-1. The team of juniors Jacob Weiss (Richmond, Ind. / Richmond) and Jordan Baker (Salem, Ind. / Salem) took the No. 2 match by the score of 8-4. In the No. 3 match the team of sophomore Isaac Everitt (Scottsburg, Ind. / Scottsburg) and freshman Jaxon Davis (Angola, Ind. / Angola) came up with the 8-5 win.

The Bulldogs went on to take all six of the singles matches and came up with the victory 7-2.

Trine falls to 6-7 following the loss. They will continue their season when they travel to face Albion College in their second MIAA contest of the season.
