FRANKLIN, Ind. -- The Trine University men's tennis team defeated host Franklin by the score of 6-3.

The Thunder started off by the contest by taking two of the three doubles matches. In the No. 1 match senio Blake Trusty (Fremont / Fremont) and freshman Evan Trusty (Fremont / Fremont) came away with a 8-6 victory. In the No. 3 match sophomore Isaac Everitt (Scottsburg / Scottsburg) and freshman Jaxon Davis (Angola / Angola) came away with the win by the score of 8-4.

Trine finished off the contest victory by taking for of the six singles matches for the 6-3 final. Junior Jacob Weiss (Richmond / Richmond) came away with No. 2 match victory with scores of 6-3, 6-4. Davis took the No. 3 match with scores of 6-1, 6-0 while Everitt won in straight sets in the No. 4 match. The final Trine victory came in the No. 6 match where junior Austin Balos (Niles, Mich. / Brandywine) won with scores of 6-2, 6-1.

Trine will next compete when they host Grace on Thursday, September 20 for a 3 p.m. match.
